This privacy policy describes what information howtobecomeadominatrix.com collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The site is run as a one-person informational career resource. It is intentionally lightweight and avoids collecting more data than necessary.
What This Site Collects
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect the name and email address you submit through the signup form. That information is stored in Sendy, a self-hosted email marketing application running on my own server infrastructure. Your name and email are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
If you leave a comment (where comments are open), WordPress stores the name, email, and comment content you submit, along with your IP address as is standard for spam prevention. Most pages and posts on this site have comments closed by default.
The web host (Hostinger) maintains standard server logs that include your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and basic operations, and are subject to Hostinger’s own privacy practices.
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies. WordPress sets standard session cookies for logged-in users (which only applies to me as the site administrator). LiteSpeed Cache, the caching layer in front of the site, may set cookies related to cache delivery. There is no advertising cookie tracking, no cross-site behavioral tracking, and no third-party advertising network embedded on this site.
Analytics
I may use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which articles are read most often. If analytics is in use, it is configured to anonymize IP addresses and avoid cross-site tracking. I do not use Google Analytics or any analytics provider that builds advertising profiles from visitor behavior.
Newsletter and Sendy
The newsletter is delivered through Sendy on my own server infrastructure. When you subscribe, your name and email are stored in the Sendy database. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, which removes your email from the list. If you want your data deleted entirely (not just unsubscribed), reply to any newsletter email and I will delete the record from Sendy.
External Links and Third-Party Platforms
This site links out to third-party platforms (NiteFlirt, Etsy, FetLife, my sister site Fetish Scripts, and others). When you click an outbound link, you leave this site and are subject to the linked site’s own privacy practices. I have no control over what third-party sites collect or how they use that data.
Digital Product Purchases
Digital products sold via links from this site are purchased through third-party platforms. Those platforms collect their own customer data (name, email, billing information, etc.) for the purpose of processing the purchase and delivering the product. I do not see your payment details. I receive limited purchase information from the platform, typically a notification of the sale, the product purchased, and the platform’s customer identifier. For data requests related to a purchase, contact the platform where you bought the product.
Data Retention
Newsletter subscriber data is retained as long as you remain subscribed. Unsubscribed records are kept in a suppression list to honor your unsubscribe choice and prevent re-subscription by mistake. Comment data is retained for as long as the post on which it was left remains published.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information I hold about you, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise these rights, the simplest path is to reply to any newsletter email I have sent you, or to contact the platform where you made a purchase. I will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Children
This site is for adults 18 years of age or older. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to this site, please contact me through the newsletter reply method above and I will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this privacy policy as the site evolves. The “last updated” date at the top reflects any changes. Material changes will be communicated via the newsletter and noted on this page.
